Blanche Baker portrayed Ginny, Gedde Watanabe played Long Duk Dong the foreign exchange student, and Anthony Michael Hall played geeky Ted. John Cusack and Joan Cusack were also cast in minor roles.
Ringwald previously spoke about the legacy of films she made with the director who died in 2009 after succumbing to a sudden heart attack.
