Aquitaine has entered the race for the Miss France election. This Sunday, September 3, Lola Turpin won the regional miss scarf and her ticket for the national election, scheduled for December 16 in Dijon. Coming from Périgord, the 19-year-old young woman has miss blood in her veins since her mother was elected Miss Berry in 2001.
On the professional side, the new Miss Aquitaine is studying marketing in Bordeaux. Lola Turpin has also been ambitious since she confessed that she did not want to end her studies during her reign year. With France Bleu, she explained that she intended to continue her training online. Among her Miss goals, the young woman hopes to “help children in difficulty, victims of physical, psychological or even incest violence.” A fight that she will certainly wear on the stage of Miss France, at the end of the year.
Miss Aquitaine is a beauty contest which elects a representative each year for the Miss France election. Several young women come forward in the hope of becoming the ambassador of Gironde, Lot-et-Garonne, Dordogne, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Since the creation of its committee, Aquitaine has won Miss France six times, becoming the fourth region to have won the competition the most times along with Alsace and Brittany. The first Miss Aquitaine to win Miss France was Agnès Souret in 1920. She was followed by Josiane Pouy in 1952, Frédérique Leroy in 1983, Peggy Zlotkowski in 1989, Gaëlle Voiry in 1990 and Mélody Vilbert in 1995. 25 years since Miss Aquitaine did not win Miss France.
