Ventimiglia isn’t not the first Gilbert Girls alum to stop by for an episode. It was announced that Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore, WB series) would appear on Maisel.
In February 2022, Daniel informed TVLine that Bishop — who was with the couple in ABC Family’s short-lived series Bunheads — played “Emily Gilmore” on steroids.
Gilmore Girlsoriginally aired for seven seasons on The WB, which later became The CW. It was helmed in part by the Palladinos. Although the showrunners parted ways with the network before the final season, nearly the entire OG cast was reunited for Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. This revival, which was helmed by the Palladinos, aired in November 2016. After Bunheads was cancelled, the Palladinos started working on Maizel , which premiered in 2017.

Eigeman, who had been playing Digger Stiles (one of Lorelei’s love interests), reunited with the Palladinos in season 4 of Maisel to play Gabe, a newspaper editor who hired Abe Weissman .
Emily Bergl
Bergl was Chilton School bully Francie in the original WB series as well as its Netflix revival. Since then, she has recurred on Maisel as Susie’s sister Tess.
Brian Tarantina
Tarantina, who died in November 2019, played Jackie, the emcee of the comedy club where Susie first met Midge. He was also the beloved Bootsy in the series of the early 2000s.
Jane Lynch
Alumna of Glee had a brief role as a nurse on season 1 of Gilmore Girls. She plays the role of Sophie Lennon, a famous comic on Maisel.
