Unfortunately, 2022 brought with it celebrity deaths that left fans reeling.

On January 1, Dan Reeves, a great football player, died. The 77-year old Georgian native was a participant in nine Super Bowls, winning one as a player and one as an assistant coach.

His loss as one of the most successful coaches in the league’s past was deeply felt. In a statement issued on January 1, former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway stated that “the football world lost an heckuva coach today in Dan Reeves”. “Dan was a winner, and I owe him a lot. Pam and the Reeves Family are my deepest sympathies.”

Jay Weaver, a beloved Christian musician, died one day later. His brother and former Big Daddy Weave bandmate, Mike Weaver confirmed his death after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 complications. Jay was 42.

After Jay had been hospitalized for the virus just a few days earlier, Mike released a statement thanking everyone for their prayers. You have been there for him during a very difficult battle. I am so sorry, but I’m excited to celebrate his current position. Jay, my brother, went to Jesus just hours ago because of complications from COVID-19. This was on top everything else he had going on.

He said, “The Lord used Jay in such a mighty way out on the highway for so many years… I believe that even though COVID may be dead, Jesus was there to capture him.” Although my heart breaks for my family, we just wanted to say thank you for being there for us through so much.

The Korean film industry mourned Kim Mi-soo’s death on January 5th. He was 29 years old.

“Kim suddenly died on January 5,” Landscape Entertainment, the agency that represented the performer, stated in a statement translated from the publication Korea JoongAng Daily. The grief of the sudden loss is felt by all who are affected. Reporting false rumors and speculation is not a good idea. This will allow the family to grieve in peace.

Mitchell Ryan

Greg alum and Dharma died March 4. He was 88. Denise Freed (Ryan’s stepdaughter) told The Hollywood Reporter that Ryan died from congestive heart failure.

After his service in the Navy, the Cincinnati-born performer began his career in Hollywood with Thunder Road in 1958. He also appeared on the TV series Dark Shadows. Movies like Clint Eastwood’s 1973 western High Plains Drifter or the original 1987 Lethal Weapon film were some of the many credits.

Ryan’s 30-year struggle with alcoholism and his subsequent 30 years of sobriety are detailed in his autobiography Fall Of A Sparrow.

John Stahl

The Game of Thrones alumni died March 2, at the age of 68. His agent Amanda Fitzalan Howard confirmed that he was Deadline.

He was a veteran actor in theater and appeared on the Scottish soap opera Take The High Road for more than 20 year. Rickard Karstark played Rickard Karstark during the second and third seasons HBO’s GOT.

Howard described Stahl as “an actor of extraordinary skill and a stalwart in Scottish theatre”. She said that Stahl died on the [Scottish] Isle of Lewis, March 2, 2022. Jane Paton, his widow, is his survivor.”

Tim Considine

He died Friday, March 4, at his Mar Vista, California home. He was 81.

Disney confirmed Considine’s death. He was a successful actor in the 1950s, playing the role of Spin Evans in the Adventures of Spin and Marty, a serial that appeared in the original Mickey Mouse Club. He was also seen in Hardy Boys serials and the classic 1959 Disney movie, Shaggy Dog. He spent five years in the 1960s on the comedy My Three Sons.

He is survived by his son Christopher, brother John and wife Willett as well as sister Erin and Ethan, and grandson Tyler.

Johnny Brown

His Good Times alumni father, Sharon Brown, has announced his death via Instagram.

“Our family is devastated. Devastated. Devastated. Sharon wrote, “Absolutely heartbroken.” “Barely allowed to breathe. At 95 years old, the actor who played Tran on Fox’s New Girl died on February 26th. Jake Johnson, a.k.a. Nick Miller paid tribute to his silent confidant. “RIP. It was so much fun working with him. He was so generous and gave everything with virtually no lines. He was always so kind and professional. I always hoped to work with him again. Johnson sent condolences via Instagram on February 28, 2018.

Lamorne, who played Winston Bishop in the sitcom, wrote a tribute on social media. He wrote, “This man lived many lives, keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”

Sally Kellerman

The M*A*S*H actress, died February 24, at the age 84. Jack Krane confirmed the death of the late star to The Hollywood Reporter. He said that Kellerman passed away in an assisted living facility after she had battled dementia.

California native, she is best known for her role in the 1970 film MA*S*H as Margaret “Hot Lips”, the first U.S Army major. For her role in 1971’s awards show, she was nominated for an Oscar. Later, the comedy was made into a TV series with Loretta SWIT playing the same fiery character.

Jamal Edwards

According to the BBC, the YouTube star from Britain has died at 31 years old. Edwards was an ambassador of The Prince’s Trust. He also founded SBTV in 2006, a music platform that helped to launch the careers Ed Sheeran and Jessie J.

Lindsey Pearlman

The Chicago Justice alumna was found dead at 43 in Los Angeles. After her family and friends reported her missing, the LAPD confirmed her death on February 18, 2018.
