A New Jersey native, initially delayed the 13th season premiere of Wendy Williams Show after being tested positive for COVID-19. Later, the host pushed back the premiere date due to “ongoing health problems”.

Us was informed by an insider that Williams would not return to her purple chair after the show ended.

The source explained that Wendy is making her own decisions, in November 2021 . “She’s getting better. She’s not getting worse. That’s encouraging.”

After the second delay to the season 13 premiere, it was confirmed that the Keep Me in Contempt author wasn’t suffering from a coronavirus. The show also noted that she was still under the care of a doctor and “not ready” to return to work.

After another round of guest hosts were announced in November 2021, the Dancing With the Stars alum raised concerns about her health. In a statement via Instagram, she stated that her health was a topic of conversation. I’m making progress, but it’s one of those things that takes longer than we expected. I am a woman of a certain ages and have enough knowledge to listen to my doctors. I will return to my purple seat as soon as I feel ready.

She also thanked her guests for “stepping up” and “stepping in” when she was not there. Whitney Cummings and Jerry Springer have all subbed in, as has Sherri Shepherd, Sherri Shepherd, Sherri Shepherd, and Leah Remini.

Williams said, “I have listened to your prayers and commented and feel all of the love!” Williams thanked her fans for their support. You are everything to me. I enjoy spending my mornings with all of you and I do everything I can get back to work. But Wendy needs to be focused on Wendy right now.

To deal with her health issues, the Wendy’s Got the Heat author had previously taken a break from her show. After being diagnosed with Graves disease, Williams canceled the series three times.

“My doctor has given me a prescription — are you ready?” She told her studio audience that she had prescribed three weeks of vacation. “I was pissed. Encore performances, really? She took a break in May 2020 due to fatigue from the illness.

We have not received a response from a representative of the Masked Singer alum.
