ORF Director General Dr. Alexander Wrabetz revealed deeply affected: “Eva Twaroch was an outstanding journalist who has been informed by many years, our audiences about what is happening in France. In 1999, the then French Minister for Europe Pierre Moscovici, presented by France and Austria jointly awarded the Joseph Roth prize for journalists. In 2007, Eva Twaroch received the Golden order of merit of the Republic of Austria. Since 2008, she has also taught at the Institute for political science of the University of Innsbruck.

Several Austrian media are reporting that Twaroch have yet reported on Friday for the ORF news programme “Zeit im Bild” (ZIB). The cause of death is not yet known.
