the Fitbit may seem like Benjamin in the battles on the customer’s wrist, but the u.s. company sells is actually more smart and fitnessure than both the Samsung, Huawei and even the Garmin. Only Apple manages to sell more smartwatches than the Fitbit.
One of the reasons for Fitbits success is probably that their watches cost more tilnærmelige and Fitbit Versa Lite is the company’s so far the cheapest smartwatch. The low price means, of course, to cut several features, but it is not necessarily a dealbreaker, if you just want a fitness smartwatch to the ease of training, and can do without all the wild features as the more expensive competitors can offer.
Fitbit Versa Lite has the same Apple Watch-like design as its predecessor, the Fitbit Versa, in the sense that it is quadratic. I personally like, as I have not yet seen a round screen use the space available wisely. Although the Fitibit has a cut in the features, is the quality of the measurements intact. My experience is that both the heart rate monitor bearings and pace counting is completely on par with other smartwatches, I’ve tested. I actually went with the Apple Watch Series 4 and Fitbit Versa Lite on each of his wrists in a period of time, and the numbers were quite similar.
All of the data collected during training, is sent to the Fitbit app on your smartphone. I used it primarily with an iPhone, but it is available, of course, also for Android. The app is manageable, although it contains nicely many options. It also allows you to keep an eye on meals, water intake, weight, and – if you are a woman – the menstrual cycle.
One thing, however, irks me, is that Fitbit have not made the app compatible with Apple Health-system, since I normally store all my data there. But you can’t have it all.
As the smartwatch features Fitbit Versa Lite basic functions. You get notifications on the watch when someone is calling, or if you get messages on social media, just like you can set alarms and be reminded of things.

It is also possible to install a number of third-party apps on the watch; for example, I found both the Philips Hue to control my LED lights and a stripped-down version of Spotify, Spotify HR, fjernbetjener Spotify on the mobile. The more curious can include SickScore, which warns if there are many outbreaks of diseases in your neighbourhood – in my case ‘the Capital’.
Unfortunately, the processor in the watch is not fiercely springy, so it all feels a bit subdued, but it is a very good reason for that: battery life.
Like the big brother the Fitbit Versa from last year has Versa Lite an impressive battery life of up to four days. And it is according to my experience, even on the low side; if the clock is not be used for all sorts of fun, so it becomes hardly a problem to squeeze in five or six days out of a charge. For comparison, one must be lucky if you can squeeze two full days out of a Apple Watch.

It is clear that the Fitbit has saved here; it is, strangely designed, so it can’t lie flat on the table, when the USB cable is mounted in the ninety-degree angle at the bottom. For the price Fitbit Versa Lite, however, a fine fitness watch. If you do not know, whether you want to use a smartwatch, but would like to try some of the possibilities – and at the same time have the opportunity to measure the training and activity – so is the Versa Lite is a fairly obvious choice for a reasonable price.
It is my impression that the watch has fitness features enough to satisfy the majority, who do not cultivate the elite. On the other hand, the watch is not stuffed with unimaginable opportunities. There could be more apps in the store, and the apps seem generally a little dull, but it’s easy to forgive at this price.
