She shared her October 2021 thoughts, “I think Joe has gained a little insight and growth that allows him to see at the end that maybe he isn’t the most effective parent at the moment.”
Joe changed his life to become Nick. However, Joe’s fascination with Marianne ( Tati Gabrielle ) stayed with Joe as he traveled to the city where he fell in love. Joe’s co-creator of The Magicians admitted that the relationship he longs for with Marianne “is not gonna work” due to his character.
Gamble explained to Bustle, “He keeps walking closer and closer towards these truths about him, but at the samsung time, he fundamentally works off this principle — I personally think that he’s wrong — which is that it is possible to find what you need outside yourself.”
Joe will be continuing his journey in France, with more turmoil and inner turmoil following You season 4.
“So, the story from this point, if it gets told, is about how or if he gets any back. Because if you look at the Joe in the pilot where the bell rings in a bookshop and then the girl with the jeans walks in, there was one hole in your heart that he wanted to fill.
