Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness first appeared at the end of Spider-Man : No Way Home. It was released in December 2021. The credits were overshadowed by the first trailer for May’s movie. It’s obvious that this sequel will not be just a follow-up to 2017’s Doctor Strange movie. The Benedict Cumberbatch-led flick will address some of the aftermath from several other Marvel movies (which means spoilers are ahead for every title in Spider-Man : No Way Home).

Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch), cast a spell that went sour, opening up the multiverse and allowing parallel universes collide in the third Spider-Man movie. Although only Spider-Man’s direct connections were affected by the movie, it seems that there may be more issues with the multiverse in general.

Strange is shown looking for Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch ( Elizabeth Olsen) to help. She apologizes immediately for Westview. WandaVision viewers may remember Westview as the place she accidentally magically made into her grief-inducing sitcom fantasy. He has other concerns and asks Wanda about the multiverse.

This concept was introduced in Disney+’s Loki, which featured Loki (Tom Hiddleston), meeting different versions of himself from alternate timelines. There was also animated What If …?,, another Disney+ show that featured many cast members including Cumberbatch as Strange. This could prove to be very important.

The trailer for the Doctor Strange sequel shows Stephen saying that he never intended for this to happen. His friend and foe Karl Mordo, who turned his back against the Sorcerer Supreme in 2017 Doctor Strange movie and now wants all sorcerers to be freed of their magic, gives him a warning.

“I’m sorry, Stephen,” Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) says. “I hope that you realize that you are the greatest threat to our universe.

This could be a literal translation of his words. This trailer features another Doctor Strange version — Dark Strange. He is the same version as in What if 2021. Viewers witnessed as the neurosurgeon tried to save Christine’s life ( Rachel McAdams) and stole power from everyone he could to alter the course of history. It’s obvious that the trailer for Multiverse of Madness is very similar to the animated version.

Dark Strange warns that “Things have just gotten out of control”.

Sam Raimi was the man behind the camera. Raimi also directed the Toby Maguire-led Spider-Man trilogy.

Who is Returning to the Cast of The Part?

From the first film, Dr. Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch), Karl Mordo(Ejiofor), Wong [Benedict Wong], Dr. Christine Palmer (“McAdams”) and Dr. Nicodemus ( Michael Stuhlbarg), will all return. Scarlet Witch (Olsen), who fought against Thanos in Avengers Endgame, will be back.

What is the connection between Scarlet Witch and Scarlet Witch?

WandaVision finished with Scarlet Witch learning more about her powers, and then reading the Darkhold (also known as the Book of the Damned/Book of Sins). It’s not for good guys.

Wanda was last seen in the Darkhold studying when she heard her sons call for her. WandaVision didn’t see her twins Tommy and Billy. Although they were meant to be a creation to help her live her family’s dreams, it seems that real versions may exist in the multiverse.

The Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness trailer features Wanda wearing a Scarlet Witch costume, competing with her tiara and her blackened fingertips. This indicates that she has been using a lot of dark magic since her last appearance.
