Twitter rolls out of a button on its platform that allows users to report, in which, according to them, misinformation about the U.s. presidential election and is to be shared. That is reported by The Hill.
The measure is meant to ensure that the users are less and less misled in the run-up to the presidential election, which will be held this year. “The button may be, for example, incorrect information on how to participate in an event to be reported,” said Twitter ceo Carlos Monje.
The reports are that Twitter employees have been checked. The rules of the network is that the messages that voters will be fooled, are not allowed. The button has been deployed in the run-up to general elections in other countries as well.
This is not the only measure that is Twitter and found around the time of the elections. As of the end of november, is on Twitter and is prohibited to have ads on political sites. This is advertising for the politicians, but also political issues such as abortion, human rights, and climate change.
However, advertising is allowed, where people are being told to go to the polls.
