Disappointed finalist of the first season of Nouvelle Star, Thierry Amiel has since continued his career, in a certain anonymity in France.

Thierry Amiel, the return. On the occasion of the twenty-year program of Nouvelle Star, broadcast this Wednesday, February 15, 2023, former emblematic candidates of tele-hook are back on M6. Among them, Thierry Amiel, disappointed finalist of the very first season of Nouvelle Star, still called In Search of the New Star, who lost to Jonathan Cerrada in 2003. After his stint on M6, the budding singer tries to break through solo. He then released a cover of Christophe’s Mots Bleus, which met with some success, then continued with a first album, Paradoxes. It is a success.

In 2003, he continued his momentum and ensured the first parts of the concerts of Hélène Ségara. In 2006, Thierry Amiel released a second disc, eponymous this one, which was followed by a third, Where are the stories?, released in 2010. That same year, Pascal Obispo chose him to play the leading role in the musical Adam and Eve: The Second Chance. In 2013, he announced the preparation of a new album, Artefact, released in 2019 and went on tour again.

Since then, Thierry Amiel has continued to perform in small venues in Belgium. But what about his career in France? Since his final at Nouvelle Star, the 40-year-old artist seems to have relatively disappeared from the radars of the French public…
