Demi Lovato, who was first admitted to rehab in 2010 for drug and alcohol addiction, has used his experience to help others who might be facing similar issues.

“I believe I used those coping methods because I was truly in such pain that I didn’t want to die and didn’t know what to do. I tried my best, but now that I have other resources and tools, I know how to deal with other situations so that I don’t need to resort to the same behaviors again,” Lovato said in a March 2021 episode of “Yeah No! I’m not OK” podcast.

After seeking treatment, the singer entered a sober home in 2013. However, he relapsed in 2013 after six years of sobriety. He was then rushed to hospital in 2018 following a near fatal drug overdose.

After the difficult journey, Lovato shared the reasons for the relapse in their Dancing With the Devil documentary in March 2021. Later, Lovato clarified that they did not completely eliminate marijuana and alcohol from the lives of their children.

The Disney Channel alum stated that he wanted to balance his life in both the substance and the entertainment side. A one-size-fits all solution is not the best for everyone. Lynch explained that she relapsed years ago after being a member of AA for many years. She had a successful career, and she started drinking again.

She shared that she became a wine connoisseur in a way only an alcoholic could. She also mentioned that she had drunk while appearing on Paramount+’s The Good Fight from 2017 to 2021. After years of sobriety, self-knowledge and sobriety, I fell back into denial. I was fooling myself. I woke up one morning and said, “I’m back.”

Lynch said that she was able to fool close friends at the time. She told her friend, “I recall a friend saying: “I told you you weren’t an alcoholic anymore.” I’d go: ‘I know!'” The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress has now relapsed and said that she had stopped drinking six months ago.
