Neil Young (73, “Heart of Gold”) and his wife, Daryl Hannah (57) are part of the celebs that have lost due to the devastating fires in California, her house in Malibu. That US President Donald Trump (72) makes the state of California responsible for the disaster, agreed with the singer angry. In a long Statement on his website, “Neil Young Archives” did he now, with Trump.
This had previously tweeted the following statement: “There is no other reason for this massive, deadly and costly wildfires in California, except that the forests are poorly managed. Every year, billions of dollars are spent, while so many people are lost in life, just because of the gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no payments by the Federal government more!”
In his almost Essay-like Letter, from the “Variety” is quoted, geigte Young the US President belonging to his opinion. “California Adiosbet is vulnerable – not because of bad forest management, such as DT (our so-called President) makes us think. […] We are due to climate change vulnerable. The extreme weather events and extended drought are part of it.
“It’s time for a settlement”
Further on he writes: “Here the temperatures are in our hottest summer of all time, higher than ever before. This was not exactly helpful. DT is a denier (…) It is really time, with this disabled leader to be settled. Perhaps our new Congress can do to help. I hope so.”
He had heard in the last few days of the numerous firefighters that they had never seen anything like this. And he had lost a house in California to a fire. Young appealed to his fellow man: “Hopefully, we can come to as a people together to take on climate change. We have the tools and could do it if we would give it a try. There is no disadvantage.”
His open letter, he ended with the words: “imagine a leader of the science and says that these solutions are not part of his decisions on our behalf. Imagine a leader who is more interested in his own, comfortable advantage, than for the people he leads. Imagine an inappropriate leader. And now imagine a matching. In order to see you.”
