Margot Robbie had a cardboard cutout of John Cena from 'The Suicide Squad.' It was in her room for 2 years

“I watched WWE when I was growing up; when I was a kid I loved The Undertaker,” Robbie said in the interview. “Then, obviously, as a teenager, I stopped watching. But then, as a late teen, early 20s, I had a boyfriend who was obsessed with John Cena, so much so that he dressed as John Cena for his 21st birthday and had a cardboard cut-out of John Cena in his bedroom.”

Robbie’s boyfriend had bought a life-sized cutout of the 44 year-old F9 actor. Cena was always there to look after her every night she went to sleep.

“So, I slept in a bedroom for two years with John Cena’s cardboard cut-out in it,” she explained. She said that seeing him 2-D in the corner would make her feel uncomfortable if she woke in the middle of night. “And then, I’d be like: ‘Oh, John Cena! It’s okay.’

Robbie was initially hesitant to reveal her past passions to former wrestler when they first met. However, she eventually shared them with him “five seconds” after meeting.

After the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywoodstar had told the story, she said, “Now, I know that there is very little to strange out this guy!”

Anderson, 50, then brought out a gift for the action star after hearing about the costars’ history: A cardboard cut-out of Robbie as Harley Quinn.

Robbie joked that you also need to share your bedroom with them for at least two years. Cena agreed, “Just to even the playing field.”

The segment was a personal account by the 54-year-old director of the Blackish alum. Gunn said that Anderson was one of the actors in Scooby-Doo’s early 2000s movies.

Anderson commented, “I wanted you to congratulate your success because we hadn’t seen each other for 20 years,”
