As Disney stock experiences a 20% decline in year-to-date, there is more public outcry about Bob Chapek, the current CEO. Disney recently launched a PR campaign in an apparent attempt to improve opinions about Chapek.
It is well-documented that Iger resisted the call to step down. Iger waited four times to retire before he selected Chapek to be his replacement in 2020.
Officially, there has not been any indication that Chapek or Iger are leaving.
