It was announced that Epik High and BIGBANG would join the Coachella 2020 lineup before the pandemic. Epik High, an indie Kpop group, can be considered a Kpop group since they are well-known in the Kpop world. With their confirmed appearance at Coachella 2022, they will be the first K-pop group to perform twice at the massive American music festival.

BIGBANG’s Taeyang & Min Hyorin are proud to welcome their first child. Fans call it a ‘Fantastic Baby.’

BIGBANG’s Coachella reunion falls through

BIGBANG’s labelmates Blackpink and Epik High were the second Korean band and first K-pop girl band to perform at Coachella 2019. BIGBANG reunited with much fanfare after YG Entertainment teamed up with festival organizers. To complete their military enlistment, the iconic boy band went on hiatus in 2016. They were to have their reunion at Coachella in 2020 after they had completed their mandatory military service.

With Coachella 2020 postponed, BIGBANG will no longer be part of the 2022 lineup. Fans, who had hoped for a reunion, were disappointed. There is still hope for a reunion. A Korean insider met with Korean media outlets to share the news that Taeyang had welcomed his first child in December 2021. He also revealed that BIGBANG had reunited and was working on their next album.

Epik High attends Coachella twice

We also have Epik High, who will be appearing at Coachella 2022 with YG after their 2016 run. This has excited K-pop fans. If we include Coachella 2020, they are the first Kpop act to be invited three times. They will perform on the first day of both weeks (April 15 and 22). Coachella also announced that weekend 1 tickets are sold out. Weekend 2 tickets for pre-sale will go on sale on their website on January 14th at 10 a.m. PT. It will take place at Empire Polo Club, Indio, California.

Epik High fans were thrilled and posted tweets such as, “Congratulations!!! deserve!! Can’t wait for what you’ll make! “Our boys EPIK HIGH were invited back to coachella!” Congratulations!”
