Bruno Patino, who is elected for a term of five years, has been selected by a council consisting of twelve members, including three employee representatives, one representative of the ministry of Economy and Finance, three other leaders of the public audiovisual sector, Delphine Ernotte (France Télévisions), Sibyle Veil (Radio France), Laurent Vallet (national audiovisual Institute) and the chairman of the supervisory board of Gaumont, Nicolas Seydoux. The council is chaired by Bernard-Henri Lévy.
