Emma Stone is to be seen as Abigail Masham in “The Favourite”

This Film has made its name in the “British Independent Film Awards”: “The Favourite” by Director Yorgos Lanthimos (45) and with Stars such as Emma Stone (30, “La La Land”), Rachel Weisz (48) and Olivia Colman (44) has been able to rake in an impressive ten awards. Including best Film, best Director (Lanthimos), the best Haupdarstellerin (Colman) and best supporting actress (Weisz).
Also the script of the historical film about the British Queen Anne (Colman) was excellent. The five other prizes, the cinematography, the costume design, the Deneme Bonusu Veren Siteler production design, the Make-up and Hair Design, as well as for the best Casting. Only the supporting actress nominee Emma Stone was empty.
It is not, incidentally, were the first prizes for the Drama. Shortly after its world premiere at the Venice film festival in 2018, there was the Silver lion for the Greek Director Lanthimos as well as the award Colmans as “Best actress”. “The Favourite: intrigue and lunacy”, which must now surely hopes at the Oscars in the coming year, from the 24. January 2019 in the German cinemas.
