ANNE-SOPHIE PIC. On Wednesday May 4, 2022, the three-star chef in the Michelin Guide will be present in the 13th season of the show “Top Chef” broadcast on M6, for an episode on a dish sublimating a vegetable. All about the starred chef.

[Updated April 25, 2022 at 6:17 p.m.] Anne-Sophie Pic, who has already participated in Top Chef in 2019 and 2021, returns Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in an episode of Top Chef! For this 13th season, the most starred chef in the world will have to judge a test where the candidates must create a dish sublimating a vegetable, a single vegetable but by working on each taste, each variety. The chef will judge the candidates on their creativity, their audacity but also the aesthetics of the dressage.

At the head of several restaurants in Valence, Paris, Lausanne and London, Anne-Sophie Pic holds a total of 8 stars in the Michelin Guide worldwide, including 3 stars since 2007 in France. She holds the title of best female chef in the world in 2011. Her recipe for berlingots is her favorite signature dish.

Anne-Sophie Pic is a great chef who owns several establishments in Valence, but also in Paris. Coming from a family of chefs, she has, like her father and grandfather, three stars in the Michelin Guide since 2007.

Anne-Sophie Pic was introduced to the art of cooking very early on, since her great-grandmother was already a chef: her father, meanwhile, already imagined her doing the same job as him. However, she left to study at the Higher Institute of Management from which she graduated. She also studied in New York and Japan where she met her husband.

But the death of her father, Jacques Pic, in 1992, pushed her to take over the family restaurant with her brother Alain Pic. However, the Pic house loses one of its three stars in 1995 and she works hard to learn her father’s trade on her own and save his restaurant.

In 1998, Anne-Sophie Pic and her husband are now alone in charge of the Pic house. She therefore decided to modernize the restaurant and its menus. The efforts paid off, since in 2007 she obtained her third star: she was also elected chef of the year that same year by the 8,000 chefs listed in the Michelin Guide. Four years later, on April 18, 2011, she even won the Veuve Clicquot prize for the best female chef in the world.

In 2015, Anne-Sophie Pic was entitled to her wax statue at the Grévin Museum, alongside pastry chef Pierre Hermé. The same year, Netflix chose Anne-Sophie Pic to represent France in its cooking show The Final Table.

After having taken over the family restaurant Pic in Valence, Anne-Sophie Pic then decided to open other establishments in Valence such as the Scook. She also owns a restaurant at the Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne, Switzerland and La Dame de Pic in Paris and London. Her work bears fruit and allows her to receive several decorations: she is knighted in the National Order of the Legion of Honor, Knight in the National Order of Merit and Knight of Arts and Letters.

Berlingots are Anne-Sophie Pic’s favorite signature dish. These are pasta with a flowing and gourmet interior inspired by the sweets of his childhood. Its recipe for berlingots is available in all its restaurants according to the seasons.
