After an Easter weekend marked by bad weather in the four corners of France, calm seems to be gradually returning to the country. But the situation still remains critical in certain territories. No less than five departments are still placed on flood alert by Météo-France and should remain so until at least tomorrow, Wednesday April 3, 2024. However, not all are at the same level of vigilance. In its latest bulletin, published at 4 p.m. this Tuesday, Météo-France indicates that Yonne and Saône-et-Loire are still on red alert. Aube, Haute-Marne and Côte-d’Or are on orange alert.
In detail, Météo-France indicates that in the Yonne department, the Armançon has experienced a major flood in recent hours, as has the Arroux, located in Saône-et-Loire. Floods described as “significant” are, for their part, recorded from the Morvan massif to Champagne. “Marne upstream (Haute-Marne), Seine upstream (Côte-d’Or, Aube), Ouche (Côte-d’Or), Armançon (Yonne, Côte-d’Or), Brenne (Côte-d’Or), Serein (Yonne), Arroux (Saône-et-Loire)”, listed Vigicrues shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, precisely listing the different sections on orange or red flood alert in France.

What to expect in the next few hours? “A rainy disturbance concerns the North-West this Tuesday and a large northern half on Wednesday without worsening the hydrological situation”, announces Vigicrues according to whom, the trend is now towards recession “in the sectors upstream of the rivers and floods propagate downstream.
