The weak breakaways of this third stage linking Collonges-la-Rouge to Montignac-Lascaux (147.2 km) did not overcome the peloton which went as far as the sprint. Unsurprisingly, Lorena Wiebes won and unleashed all her power. This final was led by the sprinters’ teams who quickly locked the race by catching up with the leading girls each time. First it was Kathrin Hammes (Ef Education-Tibco-SVB) who was caught and then Julie Van de Velde (Fenix-Deceuninck) who was caught in the final meters. Consolation prize, tomorrow she will put on the jersey of the best climber.
The yellow jersey does not change shoulders. Lotte Kopecky contested the sprint in vain. She finished third in the stage. She loses her green jersey in favor of the winner of the day. In reality, the peloton played with fire and the race came alive in the last 20 kilometres. Tomorrow there could be changes as there will be difficulties with a finish in Rodez.

The 2023 Women’s Tour de France will make its big start on Sunday July 23, 2023 in Paris with a 1st stage disputed on the Champs-Elysées circuit before the arrival of the Men’s Tour de France. It will end one week later, on July 30, 2023.
No parity between men and women for the Tour de France. A total of €250,000 will be awarded and put into play for the teams and riders, including €50,000 for the winner of the final individual general classification.
The Women’s Tour de France will be broadcast exclusively and in full on the antennas of France Télévisions until 2025.
