There is no need to have the necessary training either, the company will take care of your diplomas.

“Your CV, we don’t care!” Many job seekers dream of hearing this kind of phrase. Not being recruited only on paper but through a real exchange with the employer is a method still very little used by recruiters. However, in France, a large company ignores the applicants’ background and only makes its choice based on the person’s interpersonal skills. Which is judged after an original experience.

Just imagine. Going to a job interview, without a CV under your arm, but with the aim of solving… puzzles, alone and in teams with strangers. This is the process put in place by Transdev, which is currently recruiting throughout the country, and particularly in the South-West, around Toulouse (around thirty positions) but also in the Arcachon Basin.

For several years, the public transport company has organized escape games as recruitment sessions. “It’s a job that requires particular interpersonal skills because you are in contact with the public all day long. Based on this observation, we wondered how to attract candidates who think outside the box,” explains Béatrice Gannieux, HR Director of Transdev in Occitanie and New Aquitaine.

During the game, the recruiter observes everyone’s skills. Enough to unleash applicants who are sometimes “not used to interviews or who lack self-confidence.” Once completed, the activity is debriefed with the candidates. But that’s not all.

The process includes another “fun” part: that of driving a coach on a driving simulator, “to allow them to put themselves in the driving conditions of a large vehicle, with all the sensations”, continues the HR director. . If the candidate is convinced and, obviously, selected, he is then contacted by the company.

The latter offers numerous coach and bus driver positions, on permanent contracts, but also on fixed-term contracts, full-time and part-time, without looking for “a particular profile”. The only prerequisite is to hold a B license, i.e. a car license. Transdev is responsible for training its future employees in the necessary permit for public transport.

On the financial side, a candidate with no experience will be hired at €1,600 net per month, specifies the company, which boasts “good mutual insurance, employee savings”, but also a schedule established almost a year in advance, counting- given the regularity of the profession.

After Montpellier and the suburbs of the Pink City, it is in the southwest of Bordeaux that the experience is renewed by Transdev (Arès -March 22- and Marcheprime -March 23-). According to company data, approximately one in five candidates is recruited using this process.
