On the occasion of the Mobile World Congress, Netflix unveiled the first images of the mini series on the Tour de France.

A Drive to Survive on the Tour de France, here is the promise of the Netflix streaming platform when announcing the creation of the mini documentary series in 2022. On the occasion of the Mobile World Congress on Tuesday February 28, the first images have been unveiled. We discover in particular Marc Madiot, manager of the French team Groupama FDJ.

The aim of the series, which should be released just before the Tour de France 2023, is to promote cycling and make behind the scenes of the peloton accessible. Eight formations have given their agreement: AG2R Citroën, Alpecin-Fenix, Bora-Hansgrohe, EF Education-EasyPost, Ineos Grenadiers, Jumbo-Visma, Groupama FDJ and Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl. If the winning team of the Tour de France is present, there will not be that of Tadej Pogacar, UAE Emirate. “A lot of teams participate because they have to be highlighted, they have to be recognizable,” Andrea Agostini, director of operations at UAE, recently explained to the site VeloNews. “It’s not a problem for us. If we we can compete for victory on the Tour again, we won’t need all that. Of course, we have nothing to hide, but it is extremely important to find a certain balance within a team” justified the team.
