Shots rang out overnight from Monday to Tuesday in Évreux, Eure. Two people were shot dead in the La Madeleine district, more precisely Rue de Russelsheim according to information from BFM Normandie. A third victim was seriously injured and is in absolute emergency this Tuesday, July 25. An investigation was opened and entrusted to the territorial management of the judicial police of Rouen to understand what happened.

“Two cars were in hot pursuit when the occupants of the pursuing car fired shots at the first vehicle, killing two people and injuring another, presumably all men,” a police source told AFP. .

The two shooting victims are males, ages 34 and 39 based on initial identification. Already in cardio-respiratory arrest when the firefighters arrived, they could not be revived by the emergency services. A third victim, also a 36-year-old male, was injured in the shooting. According to police information from Le Parisien, the deceased 34-year-old man was known to the police for drug trafficking.

The three men could have been victims of a settling of scores according to police sources quoted by AFP: “It is probably a settling of scores around narcotics”. As for the weapons used, France Bleu evokes an “assault rifle” and the wounds left by the bullets on the victims and the elements of the investigation could “correspond to Kalashnikov fire”, writes AFP. The perpetrators of the shooting are on the run and are currently wanted. One of them would be known to the police for drug trafficking.
