The overseas territories are particularly concerned
The draft law, bioethics, examined in second reading, allows the self-conservation of gametes – of its own sperm or eggs – in view of future pregnancies. In principle, this self-preserving will have to be done in health institutions, public or private non-profit.
But the mps voted on Thursday the possibility of derogations for certain private for-profit institutions, in the departments where they are the only ones to realize this medical practice. The government, which has supported these amendments LREM Laurence Vanceunebrock and Jean-Louis Touraine, stressed the strict framework for such derogations, with an authorization issued by the regional agency of health (ARS).

They should focus on some territories, the secretary of State Adrien Stop quoting the French Guiana, Mayotte, Martinique, and Corsica. The tariffs would be limited to benefits that are supported by health insurance.
The mp LREM Monique Limon has claimed that “things are extremely well regulated” to prevent “a drift toward commodification”. His colleague Marc Delatte opposed the amendment, as the member Aurore Bergé through “prudence”.
“A red line”
The communist Elsa Faucillon and the insubordinate Danièle Obono have also challenged this measure, seeing it as a “cessation”, with the exemptions granted to the private sector rather than the development of the public sector. The elect of right hostile to the bill have blasted in chorus a “commodification” of the LDCS.

In bioethics, the exemptions are open doors to the generalization,” said Thibault Bazin (LR), while Marc Le Fur referred to “lobbyists” behind this measure. Laurence Vanceunebrock (LREM) immediately criticized this expression of “lobbies”, seeing it as a form of “homophobia”.
In LREM, several elected officials like Anne-France Brunet (LREM) complained of a “fear vis-à-vis the private”, despite the guarantees offered by the device.
