At Roland Garros
Netflix has signed a partnership this year with the WTA and the ATP to shoot a documentary series on the backstage of the world of the little yellow ball. Filming began at the Australian Open but little information has leaked out on the names of the participants in the project. We know, however, that Daniil Medvedev will not be there, this year at least. The Russian explained his refusal: “So far, I told myself that no, it’s not Netflix for me, not this year. I will do it once, but not this year, because it started in Australia already, and I was very tired after last season. And then really, you have to fully commit. We can’t say: yes, fine, you follow me and then we’ll see. No. You have to be ready, be ready for these teams. I’m still not ready. But I’m sure I will one day.”
