It’s over for Richard Gasquet. The Frenchman was beaten by world number 30, Sebastian Korda in three sets. On the Suzanne-Lenglen court, Gasquet first fought in the first set but ended up giving it up to the American in the tie-break 7-6 (7-5).
Then the French did not resist against his opponent and conceded the next two sets 6-3, 6-3, to lose in 2h19. Richard Gasquet therefore stops in the second round of Roland-Garros and should join the France TV teams to be a consultant until the end of the tournament.
