Paris Saint-Germain begins its European Champions League campaign at home this Tuesday evening against Borussia Dortmund. Time, TV broadcast, probable lines… Discover all the information on this gala poster at the Parc des Princes.

This Tuesday evening, the premier competition returns to Europe! The 2023-2024 Champions League season begins and Paris Saint-Germain hosts German club Borussia Dortmund. After a home defeat against Nice (2-3) last weekend after returning from the international break, the Parisians will finally be able to launch their season. If the list of withdrawals for the match is quite long (Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes, Asensio, Mukiele…), Manuel Ugarte is doubtful for the match after receiving a blow to the ankle during training this Monday. Recruited this summer by the Parisian leaders to build a new cycle with the C1 as the main objective, Luis Enrique did not hide his impatience at a press conference without being “obsessed” by a final victory: “When a club is obsessed by something, it’s never a good sign. You have to have ambition but obsession doesn’t work in any sector of life. You have to wait and see how the competition is launched, football is a wonderful sport , all results are possible. You can play an incredible match and lose, play badly and win. As a club we play all competitions to win them, that’s the goal.”

On the German side, Borussia Dortmund arrives in Paris after a success against Freiburg (2-4) away last weekend. If BVB struggles to replace Jude Bellingham who left for Real Madrid, the results are evident with eight points in four games and a seventh place in the Bundesliga. In a conference, Edin Terzic revealed that he had studied PSG – Nice before specifying his plan to counter the Parisians and try to create the feat: “Of course we analyzed this match, we saw that Nice played very well and which they pressed very aggressively, defending intelligently. PSG had a lot of difficulties. Naturally, we too, tried to see how we were going to try to upset them. We have ideas, we know that we have enough qualities. Afterwards, we also know that it is difficult to start here in Paris, but we have the weapons to fight. We will have to be as aggressive as possible and not leave the open spaces that PSG loves. Every mistake will cost us a goal. If there is no balance, it will be difficult to defeat PSG.”

The kick-off of the first day of the Champions League match between Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund is scheduled for Tuesday September 19 at 9:00 p.m. at the Parc des Princes in Paris (France). Jesús Gil Manzano (Spain) will be the referee of the match.
