On Wednesday March 15, the official Olympic Games ticket office is open again on its website where it is possible to register for the draw for the second phase. This platform will close on April 20 at 6 p.m. This time the lucky ones will only be able to choose single tickets. There will be a priori 300,000 tickets at 24 euros, and “1.5 million” in total according to Tony Estanguet. Please note that those who were drawn the first time do not need to re-register. They just have to wait again and hope to be selected.
During the first stage, tickets for the Olympic Games were snapped up at exorbitant prices for some. The organizers had promised to put on sale 1 million tickets at 24 euros. Yes, but according to the Paris 2024 committee, 3.25 million tickets have been sold. However, many people criticized the price of the tickets as very expensive. The former Olympic champion in athletics in 1996, Jean Galfione, for example, “did not try to buy tickets”, as he explained to the newspaper L’Equipe.
Obviously the most requested events are the most expensive. To attend the opening ceremony on the Seine it will cost between 90 euros and 2700 euros. Regarding the closing ceremony at the Stade de France, some seats will represent the sum of 1,600 euros. Finally, if you miss the second phase of the draw or if you are not chosen, the organizers have planned a third phase which will take place at the end of the year. A section dedicated to resale will also be created before the start of the Olympic Games in July 2024. Tickets cannot be resold for more than the purchase price.

The first phase of ticket sales takes place between February 15 and March 15 after a lottery to create bespoke packs. Single ticket sales will begin after this date until April 15.

The Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (OCJo) indicated in February 2019 that these 2024 Paris Olympics, which were initially to start on August 2, will finally take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
