Thunderclap in Marseille with the announcement of the departure of Marcelino and perhaps of President Pablo Longoria.

It is September 19 and a wind of panic is blowing over the city of Marseille. Not because France will play its third match of the Rugby World Cup against Namibia this Thursday, but because the OM club is imploding. This afternoon, several media, including L’Equipe, announced the departure of Marcelino from his position as coach of Olympique de Marseille. A decision which would have been taken after the various declarations and threats against the leaders.

But according to Eurosport Spain, the situation could be much more dramatic in Marseille since the club’s president, Pablo Longoria, could resign from his position which he has held since 2021. According to information from the media, the Spaniard would have been threatened with death by the OM ultras.
