The new navigation bar in WhatsApp, meant to make navigating the app even easier, is now available for early adopters. WhatsApp is in the process of rolling out this modification to the first beta testers of the application.
WhatsApp is working on a new navigation bar for its app. This version is not only aesthetically different, it also occupies a new place in WhatsApp. Indeed, many users of WhatsApp for Android over the years have requested a navigation bar similar to that of WhatsApp for iOS. This bar is at the bottom of the app, while the Android app bar is always at the top. Apparently, WhatsApp is listening to this feedback and working to make these important changes soon. Here is the bar that some users are starting to see on their WhatsApp app:
It was already known that WhatsApp was going to place the new navigation bar at the bottom of the app. This makes it much easier to access the different options, especially if you often use your phone with one hand. Also, Communities are better highlighted, not only with an icon, but also with a text label. So you will soon see a new navigation bar at the bottom of WhatsApp, where you will find, in order, Chats, Communities, Status and Calls.
Early WhatsApp Beta testers already have access to the new interface in app version 2.23.10.6. What do you think of WhatsApp’s new bottom navigation bar? Do you already have it? Let us know in the comments on our Facebook page by clicking here.
