Tightening of screws in Belgium. The First minister Sophie Wilmès announced this Thursday, a reinforcement, on Saturday, in response to the rising cases of coronavirus, with the compulsory wearing of masks in “any place with high attendance”: markets, flea markets, shopping streets, hotels, restaurants and cafes.

These areas of “high traffic” will be defined by the local authorities. In regards to hotels and restaurants, the port of the mask will not be mandatory for the customers sitting at the table. “The announcement of a tightening of the rules is a hard blow to our morale, but we prefer to take action today rather than sorry tomorrow”, she said during a press conference. In addition to wearing a mask, Sophie Wilmès announced that “the fairs and the fairs will not again resume”. “We envision a return of the activities from the 1st September, subject to a very strict and of wearing a mask is required”, she said.
