Since the reform of the vocational training from September 2018, the CFA can open more simply, without the authorization of the regions. They are no longer funded since January 1, by regions, but by the intermediary of branches and depending on the number of young people under contract. The entry in the CFA has been relaxed to the young (age limit extended to 26 to 30 years, with the possibility to enter in the course of the year), and their employment conditions improved (using 500 euros to get a drivers license in particular), while being made more flexible (derogation to the working time of minors, end of the compulsory recourse to the tribunals in cases of breach of contract). According to the ministry, 18 of 151 apprentices have benefited from using the permit.
