Isaias was a hurricane of category 1 (out of 5) by touching down in North Carolina in the night of Monday to Tuesday, with winds of up to 140 km/h. The depression has gradually weakened on Tuesday, progressing to the north-east of the country, towards the south-east of Canada, where heavy rains are expected.

3 million people without power
