Fabien Galthié has unveiled his list of 42 players for the next Rugby World Cup.

Less than three months from the World Cup, Fabien Galthié and the staff of the France team have unveiled the expanded list of 42 players for the World Cup. As announced a few days ago, Toulon scrum-half Baptiste Serin and La Rochelle full-back Brice Dulin are among the lucky ones for Les Bleus’ first training camp in Monaco in early July. The Challenge Cup winner will be accompanied by Dupont, Lucu and Couilloud while Brice Dulin will be alongside Thomas Ramos and Melvyn Jaminet.

A time announced, the second row Emmanuel Meafou is not part of this first list of 42. The player suffered from a plantar fascia injury during the final of the Top 14. In the three quarters, Louis Bielle-Biarrey, exempted from Mondial U20 is present in the list just like Emilien Gailleton (center-winger). Note also the presence and the great return of Arthur Vincent and the absence, for the moment, of Anthony Jelonch, still convalescing. Yacouba Camara or Sipili Falatea are also absent. There is still time before the official announcement of the 33-player roster on August 21st and everything can still change.

On the ground, the staff of the Blues organized three training courses. The first gathering will be from July 3 to 14 in Monaco, followed by a second at the CNR of Marcoussis from July 24 to August 3 before leaving from August 7 to 25 in Seignosse (Landes) in what will be its base camp for the Global. Finally, the French team will play four friendly matches during the month of August: twice against Scotland, in Edinburgh on the 5th and in Saint-Étienne on the 12th; then against the Fiji Islands, on the 19th, in Nantes, before ending the journey with the reception of Australia, on the 26th, at the Stade de France.
