In the Doubs, a policewoman was injured after being violently hit by a fleeing motorist.
A violent attack took place last night in the Doubs department, when a policewoman was hit by a motorist, leaving her seriously injured. The incident was reported by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, via a message on Twitter. According to the information available, the facts took place around midnight, when two police officers were carrying out a traffic check.
The accident occurred while the police were checking a motorist, an oncoming BMW suddenly hit the policewoman, who had her back turned momentarily. Thrown into the air, she fell several meters away, injured in the head in the impact.
Faced with the seriousness of his injuries, the victim was immediately transported by helicopter to Besançon hospital. However, a glimmer of hope remains, since his vital prognosis is not engaged. Gérald Darmanin expressed his unconditional support for the policewoman, her colleagues and her relatives, expressing his indignation at this “despicable act” which upset the life of this dedicated civil servant.
The perpetrator of this wrongdoing is actively sought by law enforcement.
