A sexagenarian, Hubei province, China, has been tested positive on 8 February and was again after having been admitted to the 9th of August.

A 68 year old woman was tested positive to the Covid-19 to Jingzhou, in Hubei province in China, on February 8 and then on 9 August, after having been restored meanwhile, reports Reuters, relayed by Le Parisien. Reuters states that this sexagenarian has been placed in quarantine and under treatment and that their contacts have been tested. These were found to be negative.

Several theories

This possibility of recontamination has already been put on the table. As explained by our colleagues, these patients could have lived a long single infection, the viral load may in some cases remain present in the body for several weeks.

teams of the CHU of Strasbourg and the Institut Pasteur had conducted a survey at the end of may on 160 individuals suffering from mild forms of the disease.
