The results of the BTS are known each year from mid-June to mid-July. For the year 2023, it is therefore expected that they will be communicated between Friday, June 23 and Friday, July 7. In fact, unlike baccalaureate and patent results, they are not published over a week, but over an entire month. The Higher Technician Certificate, issued according to the results obtained in the final examination, assesses the acquisition of the abilities, skills and know-how specific to the specialty chosen by the student. It should be noted that it is only issued to candidates who have obtained a general average greater than or equal to 10/20 on average over all the six examination papers.

Every year, BTS results are released from mid-June to mid-July. On their websites, the academies publish the dates and times of publication of the results of the BTS according to the specialties. BTS 2023 Common Examinations are held from Friday, May 12 to Wednesday, May 17. To find out which places and dates of the tests concern them, candidates can simply consult the invitations that were sent to their home approximately 3 weeks before the tests (in April therefore). Among the few common tests taking place in mid-May, we find General Culture and Expression, or Economics.
For BTS candidates for whom the schooling methods do not correspond to the delivery of a school report or a training booklet, also called “free candidates”, the session is postponed to September. Candidates must then take the tests for which they were initially registered for the June session.
The Higher Technician Certificate allows you to specialize at the end of high school in a particular professional field, and this for two years. The result of the BTS is known every year in dribs and drabs by candidates who have embarked on the exam, mainly aiming to quickly enter working life after the baccalaureate. The Higher Technician’s Certificate, passed in two years by students after the baccalaureate, sees its conclusion come after a series of six compulsory written or oral tests and a defense of an internship report. Two years ago, nearly 262,600 candidates took the exam, for example, and 74.5% obtained the BTS. Generally, the results are spread out between mid-May and the beginning of June, on very heterogeneous dates depending on the specialty.
