The host Tyra banks announced that Derek Hough , a judge, had been possibly exposed to COVID-19 and would therefore be absent from the show.

Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke both had positive results and were unable hit the floor. They were still able to perform a jazz dance to “Gimme More”, remotely, as they were both feeling well. Although it was difficult to assess the situation, the pair earned an 18/30 score.

JoJo Siwa, Jenna Johnson and Bruno Tonioli were another pair that made headlines during week three. They performed the Argentine tango “… baby one more time.” Although it looked clean, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli suggested they might have missed a step. Carrie Ann Inaba complemented JoJo’s impressive talents.

Carrie Ann also liked Sharna Burgess, a real-life couple, and Brian Austin Green, a Beverly Hills, 90210 alum. Len stated that his footwork was “poor” but that his frame was “good”, and that he was happy with his number.

Brian spoke about growing up in the spotlight, while the pro dancer stated she didn’t follow his career, and instead had Nick Carter posters on her walls. Tyra then asked Brian who he had posters when growing up. He replied that he had them on his walls — wearing his Britney outfit.
