Closed for many months, the Premium class of Thalys has had a makeover for its reopening on September 5.
[Updated September 6, 2021 at 10:25 a.m.] A fan of city breaks in Europe, you want to take advantage of a long weekend or a week’s vacation to discover Brussels, Amsterdam, Antwerp Or Rotterdam? Since September 5, Thalys Premium customers can once again enjoy a gourmet meal served instead and concocted by Belgian chef Frank Fol, also known as the “Vegetable Chef”.
Depending on the time of the train, passengers will have the choice between breakfast, lunch, dinner (all three offering a vegetarian option) or an aperitif. The Café Gourmet is also making a comeback and includes a savory or sweet delicacy as well as a drink. Thalys is also reopening its Welcome Bar on the same date as well as its digital bar, allowing customers to pre-order their drinks and snacks in a few clicks, and thus reduce their wait at the bar.
Thalys tickets: departure and arrival stations
While the Paris Gare du Nord – Brussels Midi line is the best known and most popular high-speed train line, the Thalys is also present in several stations in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and France: Antwerp, Liège, Aix-la-Chapelle, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Essen, Dortmund, Rotterdam, Amsterdam or Chambéry, Albertville, Moutiers, Aime-la-Plagne, Landry and Bourg-St-Maurice in winter as well as Valence, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille in summer.

Launched in 2016, the low-cost Izy Thalys offer allows you to travel at low cost from Paris to Brussels. The price ? 10 euros without seat guarantee on the train, from 15 euros for a folding seat, from 19 euros one-way with standard seat guarantee and from 29 euros one-way if you opt for a standard XL seat. You can connect Paris to Brussels once a day on weekdays and twice a day on Friday and Sunday. You can board the train with one carry-on suitcase and one piece of hand luggage included in the price of your ticket.
