BAHRAIN F1 GP. Leading from start to finish, Max Verstappen started the 2023 season with an imperial victory, ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez. On his Aston Martin, Fernando Alonso (41) completes the podium, taking advantage of Leclerc’s retirement.

Perfect weekend for Max Verstappen and Red Bull. The Dutchman made the ideal race, never letting go of the controls to win by a comfortable margin. Behind him, Sergio Perez did what it took to secure the double. A good distance from Red Bull, Fernando Alonso delivered a high performance race and was rewarded for his efforts with a third place, synonymous with 99th podium for him, at 41 years old.

Victim of a loss of engine power, Charles Leclerc could not finish the first Grand Prix of the season. His teammate Carlos Sainz did not weigh in, contenting himself with keeping his fourth place. On the French side, Pierre Gasly delivered a great performance. Starting last, the Norman found the energy to move up to 9th place and collect two points for himself and Alpine. His teammate, Esteban Ocon accumulated penalties and ended up giving up a Grand Prix that he hopes to quickly forget.
