On the Spa circuit, for the return to Formula 1, qualifying was spectacular with pole position signed by Max Verstappen ahead of the astonishing Williams of George Russell. The Briton even had the luxury of beating a certain Lewis Hamilton who will start 3rd. Behind, Daniel Ricciardo signs a good 4th place just like Sebastian Vettel who will start 5th. For the French, Pierre Gasly will start 6th while Esteban Ocon signs the 8th time.
This session was also and above all marked by the terrible accident of Lando Norris. In the pouring rain and while Vettel demanded a red flag, the McLaren driver lost control of his single-seater in the Raidillon and totally destroyed his car. The Belgian Grand Prix will only be broadcast on Canal and on the Canal group channels, such as Canal Sport this year.
