The electric bike is on the rise and the ranges are expanding to satisfy an ever-growing public. The Parisian company Lutèce Bike plays the fashion object card with vintage, chic and practical women’s bicycles.

What if the electric bike, also known as an electrically assisted bicycle (VAE), became a fashion tool in its own right? Cataloged at first glance as not very elegant with their bulky and heavy motors and batteries, the first electric bikes to arrive on the market are gradually giving way to more trendy two-wheelers. Enough to finally make its eco-responsible commitment and its desire for soft mobility in town rhyme with a deliciously vintage look… Lutèce Bike has understood this well. This Parisian company has entered the urban electric bike market for these ladies. The brand has taken up the challenge of surfing the neo-retro wave that has invaded fashion, our interiors and also our cars. After the Fiat 500, the DS3 or the iconic Vespa scooter, here is the Libby Miller bike (1399 euros), a beautiful tribute to lawyer Elizabeth “Libby” Miller. This activist in the women’s rights movement at the end of the 19th century was also an active supporter of the wearing of trousers… and of the right of women to ride a bicycle!

The name is not enough and the Libby Miller, in addition to an elegant and trendy design thought for the city, has been optimized for the female morphology. Easy to step over with its 26 inch frame (compared to 28 for the standard models), the latter was naturally designed for the comfort of these ladies. No more precarious balance on tiptoe when pushing the first pedal stroke! It also sports a display on its handlebars allowing in particular to adjust the electric assistance (5 possible levels). Several colors are available, from black to meteor gray via velvet blue or beige cream. We also like its battery, with a capacity of 36V guaranteeing no less than 70 hours of autonomy… Good enough to ensure long weekend walks as well as short trips during the week! The battery can be disconnected to be connected directly to the mains. Several accessories are also available on the Lutèce Bike online store.
