The mobilization against the pension reform is not weakening, even this weekend, with 35% of train drivers still on strike at the national level. “Traffic will remain disrupted on the day of Saturday March 18” immediately announces the SNCF Connect site. For commuter train and TER users, more precise information will be provided at the end of the day here. As far as TGV and Intercités users are concerned, they have already been contacted by SMS or email if their train will be cancelled, provided that they have provided their contact details at the time of booking.
This Friday, March 17, 2023, two out of three Inoui and Ouigo TGVs, one out of two TER and three out of five Intercités are still in circulation on average. The SNCF unions voted unanimously for a renewable strike against the pension reform. The government’s forced passage with the use of article 49.3 to have the pension reform adopted prompted the SUD-Rail, CGT and UNSA unions to propose to SNCF agents to renew the movement at least until Monday. As for the inter-union of the SNCF, it will meet this afternoon to decide on the continuation of the movement.
