SNCF STRIKE 28 APRIL. Will TGV, TER, Intercités, Transilien and RER be affected by the day of action on Friday April 28, 2023? Find the forecasts of the SNCF strike.
[Updated on April 21, 2023 at 12:23 p.m.] The four representative unions of the SNCF want a new highlight on Friday April 28 to demonstrate against the pension reform, before the traditional day of May 1, the next day of national and interprofessional strike . The member of the confederal office of the CGT Thomas Vacheron clarified on France Info that April 28 will focus “on pensions and on deaths at work”. He added, moreover, that between “today and May 1, several mobilizations, actions, strikes and demonstrations will exist and will participate in pushing back the government”.
Will this new day of strike have as little impact as the “day of expression of railway anger” which was not particularly followed in terms of disturbances? Last Thursday, TGVs were indeed running more or less normally, as were Eurostars and Thalys. On the TER side, 4 out of 5 trains were announced on average at the national level, a few lines of Intercités, RER and Transilien were however more affected. We take stock of the disturbances.
TGV, TER, Intercités, Transilien, RER… The disruptions are not yet known but will be 48 hours before the start of the strike movement. Note that for the Transilien network, there is a dedicated platform to monitor the next traffic disruptions. To track general regional train traffic disruptions, this page will be useful.
How do I know if my train is canceled due to the SNCF strike?
Travelers on canceled TGV and Intercités trains receive the information via e-mail or SMS. On the other hand, users of TER without a connection do not receive SMS. You should verify the information by entering your train number on the SNCF website.
SNCF users can quickly check the traffic situation and find out if a particular train has been canceled or is leaving late. For information on TGVs, the telephone number provided is 0 805 90 36 35. To follow the traffic of all major or medium lines (TGV, Intercités, TER), go to this SNCF page . For information on the Transilien or RER in the Paris suburbs, call 0 805 90 36 35 or consult the dedicated platform.
