SNCF STRIKE. The intersyndicale called for a 14th day of strike against the pension reform on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Will the SNCF unions join the movement?

[Updated May 9, 2023 4:17 PM] The fight against pension reform is not over. The main trade union organizations in the French landscape have scheduled a new day of mobilization on Tuesday, June 6, two days to “be heard” by deputies before the presentation of a bill to repeal the text of the pension reform at the ‘National Assembly.

“We call on our organizations as a unit to meet MPs everywhere to call on them to vote on this bill. In this context, the inter-union calls for more initiatives, including a new day of joint action, strikes and June 6,” they said in a statement the day after May 1. At the SNCF, if a renewable strike notice has been running since March 7, the inter-union has not yet announced whether or not it is joining the movement.

The railway unions have not yet filed a strike notice for this date. They can, however, predict disruptions up to 48 to 24 hours in advance. Users who plan to take the train on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 are therefore invited to regularly ensure that their train is maintained.
