[Updated May 24, 2023 4:05 PM] Fans of Titanic, Avatar or Terminator get ready: an exhibition on the art of James Cameron is being prepared at the Cinémathèque Française. The Canadian director will soon be honored at the museum dedicated to the seventh art located in Paris (Bercy). During this exhibition, the filmmaker behind some of the world’s biggest box office hits will unveil pieces from his private collection, whether drawings or writings, films that have seen the light of day or failed projects.

It will be more than 300 original works, in an exhibition in six parts, which will be to be discovered on this occasion. The exhibition dedicated to James Cameron will be on view at the Cinémathèque Française from April 3, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Short Biography of James Cameron- James Francis Cameron was born on August 16, 1954 in Kapuskasing, Canada. After obtaining his degree in physics, he took on small jobs as a mechanic or truck driver. He made his first short film in 1978. In 1980, producer Roger Corman hired him for his company New World Pictures. James Cameron is then mainly in charge of special effects. Side private life, James Cameron was married five times. After being married between 1985 and 1989 to producer Gale Anne Hurd, he married director Kathryn Bigelow in 1989. After their divorce two years later, he married actress Linda Hamilton in 1997. The couple, who divorced in 1999, had a daughter. Since 2000, James Cameron has been married to actress Suzy Amis, with whom he has three children.
