New aid has been announced to support households wishing to embark on energy renovation work, in particular to change their heating system.
Changing your gas or oil-fired boiler for a more efficient and more ecological system, starting insulation work on your home, renovating your home by changing the windows, for example… So much work in tune with the times but which can represent a considerable budget and are not without concern in the face of the profusion of scams in recent years.
Good news, a new device has been announced to further support households in these small and large projects. From now on, personalized support will be mandatory before embarking on these works eligible for the Ma Prime Renov’ scheme and this support will be covered. The support, called MonAccompagnateurRenov’, will be responsible for supervising and advising households before the start of their work.
Presented as “neutral and reliable”, its role will be to advise on diagnostics, to help households choose the right approved service provider, to put together a financial file or to make the right heating choices for their home. This aid will be fully covered for the most modest households while the calculation of aid for this support will increase from 1200 euros to 2000 euros maximum in 2024.
The objective is to further support and help the French to launch their renovation work and to reassure them in the face of disputes and scams reported, in particular during the installation of heat pumps. A survey of 60 million consumers had pointed to numerous flaws in the preparation of quotes and sizing calculations.
The objective of this new aid of 2000 euros maximum and to accelerate the number of major renovations, from 90,000 today to 200,000 in 2024 according to the government.
