“Two-second” tents had revolutionized camping a few years ago, in the summer of 2005. The summer of 2023 could be that of another innovation: the inflatable tent has been surging in specialist stores since the start of the year, always promising greater ease of installation and comfort. In recent years, the traditional models have evolved a lot and the inflatable could quickly grow everywhere in the vacation spots. Several models are already offered by Decathlon, of course.
The site of the French leader in sporting goods and outdoor activities already offers around fifteen models at prices between 300 euros and… 9990 euros for its inflatable trailer tent. However, in most cases, the tent assembly phase must always be followed by the inflation of a separate mattress to sleep with some comfort. Foreign or specialized brands go further with even more efficient models, quick to assemble and (sometimes) less expensive.
The tent from the American brand Space Acacia is an amazing “all-in-one” designed to combine three components: tent, awning and mattress. This technology allows the assembly of a real small house in a quarter of an hour. Designed through Kickstarter crowdfunding, this futuristic design innovation, worthy of a science fiction film, is already available in 12 different colorways.
According to its designers, the assembly of Space Acacia is very simple, since this tent has integrated fiberglass rods that you just have to pull and push to deploy it. Once up, the habitat is impressive with an integrated canopy, five-sided tent and a 152mm thick inflatable floor that doubles as a mattress! All of this, of course, with the best waterproof fabric, a waterproof PVC floor, storage nets and numerous zipped windows (up to eight in the larger models). The tent can support a load of more than 1814 kg and an air conditioning is optional.
But for this model, you will still have to take out the wallet: it takes 930 euros for the standard version for 2 or 3 people and 1258 euros in its XL version for 4 or 6 people. We reassure you, the pump is offered.
