Take a seat aboard the Vogue Merry! The Netflix live-action series One Piece is finally unveiled in a trailer. The streaming platform has already unveiled a first trailer for this adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s cult manga, in which we can see Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji and Baggy the Clown. For the occasion, the release date of the eight episodes is finally known: it is August 31, 2023, at 9:01 a.m., that this first season will be put online.
Netflix’s One Piece series will chronicle the adventures of the Straw Hat crew for the first time with actors playing the protagonists, after several anime adaptations. We can guess that the plot of this first season will cover the first eleven volumes of the manga, until Nami definitely joins the crew. In the cast, we therefore find the Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy (The Imperfects) in the role of Luffy, Mackenyu (Kenshin the wanderer) in that of Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd (Fear Street) will play Nami, Jacob Gibson (Greenleaf) is Usopp and Taz Skylar (The Chef, The Deal) will play Sanji.
Monkey D. Luffy is a young man who has always dreamed of adventure and piracy.
